When IC9design united forces with Creative Approaches, a western NY based eLearning company in 2010, Ian Caspersson, President at both businesses, knew his first task after a smooth transition would be to revamp the Creative Approaches website. The companys list of clients over the years is nothing short of impressive, says Ian. But even more important than the customers are the relationships that developed over the 30 years theyve been in the Computer Based Training (CBT) field. Being a small business, you work with a lot of the same people, and I wanted to make sure the new website conveyed that sense of nostalgia.

You certainly have to go back a ways to reach the inception of Creative Approaches. In 1981, IBM shocked the world with the introduction of the Personal Computer (PC). Two years later, Creative Approaches, Inc was founded as the Worlds first custom Computer-Based Training (CBT/eLearning) development company. Not only did they make waves by beating everyone to the punch, they followed up their quick start with the development of their first PC training software for a noteworthy Fortune 500 client.

Fast forward to the present daypending a breach of 88 miles per hour in our Deloreanand you can find Creative Approaches once again looking to the future with the introduction of their newly redesigned website, http://www.caicbt.com. Along with a visual overhaul, the new site explains the benefits of Creative Approaches custom Computer Based Training (CBT) Courses, mobile learning solutions (mLearning), iBooks training solutions, ePublications, multimedia language translations, Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional (ILT) materials, paper to digital service, electronic testing, online quizzes and more.

Throughout its journey, Creative Approaches has made significant changes in order to survive, shifting from DOS-based CBT programs to mainframe-based and even OS/2-based CBT, animated courses, and eCommerce applications. The biggest additions to the new website are working demos and videos of real client courses and a timeline of Creative Approaches 30 year history.

As the firm once again began to transform in order to better reach past and new customers, Ian Caspersson went to work designing and developing a new creative approach to the companys marketing. The old site still had a little of that mainframe feel and were proud of that. But weve been developing unique custom courses, simulations and LMSs in some very interesting technologies. So it was time to glance back at our incredible history and move forward with a fresh new design. The result has been well received and is a much better representation of what we do and what prospective clients are looking for.

Creative Approaches new design uses bullets, visuals, and statistics to explain how the firms services and custom solutions can save companies hundreds of thousands of dollars annually and cut training time in half. Prospective clients can also view eLearning sample courses and demos of quizzes and Flash learning games.

Travis Piper, eLearning Consultant and the founder of Creative Approaches noted that, Its been 30 years of keeping up with our clients needs and the technology that services them, so we set aside some time to redesign and market our presence online. We jump started this industry back in 83 and were still going strong today, so it was definitely time to glance back to the past and continue to move forward.

With their new website in tow, the pioneers of computer based training plan on blazing new trails as they continue to expand their horizons and look back to the future.
